The Three Seas Tourism Network was officially established on March 12, 2025, during the Three Seas Local Government Congress held in Lublin, Poland. The initiative was launched as a result of cooperation between the Lubelskie Voivodeship, the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Lublin Regional Tourist Organization, and the Association of Bulgarian Black Sea Municipalities. The network reflects a joint commitment to strengthening cooperation in the field of tourism among the countries of the Three Seas region.
The main objective of the Three Seas Tourism Network is to support the development of the tourism economy in Central and Eastern Europe. The network will work to strengthen regional tourism brands and create a unified and attractive tourism offer. Particular emphasis will be placed on the effective use of EU funds and other financial support mechanisms to improve the competitiveness and international visibility of the region.
The Three Seas Tourism Network will closely cooperate with initiatives within the broader Network of the Three Seas Regions, contributing to the economic and tourism integration of the area. This cooperation will enhance regional synergies, encourage innovation in the tourism sector, and support sustainable development practices. Priority areas of interest of the Network include the integration of tourism activities, development of tourism infrastructure, joint promotional campaigns, promotion of ecological tourism, education, and exchange of experience, as well as openness to new regions and partners.
The signatories of the declaration establishing the Three Seas Tourism Network emphasized its complementary role to the existing Network of the Three Seas Regions. They also expressed their willingness to cooperate in integrating the tourism markets of the Three Seas countries, hold regular working meetings, implement joint projects within the framework of EU community policies, and expand the network by inviting new partners interested in cross-border tourism cooperation.
The Three Seas Tourism Network is intended to become a platform for regional development, cultural exchange, and innovation, strengthening the international presence of the Three Seas region as a diverse and attractive tourism destination.
